Hello again folks. Here is an updated look at the visible solar disk on Saturday, along with a noteworthy coronal mass ejection (CME) observed this morning in the latest LASCO coronagraph imagery. X-Ray activity during the past 24 hours declined to very low levels with no noteworthy solar flares detected. An eruption off the southwest limb looks to have been responsible for an expansive coronal mass ejection seen leaving the sun in the latest LASCO imagery. A minor increase in low energy proton levels was noted today and is likely the result of this event. More information once additional imagery and CME tracking models become available.
