Phaboriboun will replace co-founder Liam Massaubi who retired from the company earlier this year after six years of service to the company.
In a statement released to the International Business Times , the company said under Phaboriboun’s management, Kanati Co. will focus on each of its divisions being able to function independently and focus on their separate and distinct identities. The company operates retail locations, manufacturing and design services as well as their own label which the company started from as a t-shirt line in 2009 focusing on Aboriginal artwork.
The company recently reshored its manufacturing operations to Canada after months of down-time overseas where it ceased all operations to focus on a domestic approach and partnership with GSG Distribution. All production for the Kanati Clothing Co. label is now done in Ontario, Canada.
